Tinashe Makoni is an educator at Njelele High School and the President of the Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust. He began his education at Gwehava Primary School, completed his O Levels at Karoi High School in 1997, and his A Levels at Cheziya High School in 1999. Tinashe trained at Mutare Teachers College from 2001 to 2002 and graduated from Great Zimbabwe University in 2018. His leadership has been pivotal in growing the Alumni Trust and fostering a supportive community for alumni and students alike.
Nyaguse Tafadzwa Tatenda serves as the Alumni Secretary for Projects. He brings extensive expertise in construction and management, currently applying this knowledge as the head of his own construction company. He completed his secondary education at Cheziya Gokwe High School (2010–2015) and holds a Diploma in Telecommunications, with additional qualifications in planning and project management. Nyaguse’s leadership and professional background make him a valuable asset to the alumni community.
Jemani Blessing is a dedicated teacher at Cheziya High School, having joined the institution in 2010. As a member of the English Department, he also leads the school's Marketing Department and is an active participant in the Prize Giving Committee and various school initiatives.
Jemani is the school's chess coach and serves as an executive member of the Zimbabwe Chess Federation. An ardent sports enthusiast, he brings a wealth of experience to his role, contributing significantly to the school's athletic and academic programs.
In addition to his responsibilities at Cheziya High School, Jemani serves as a Trustee of the Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust, where he continues to support the school's mission and community.
Wadzanai Huchu is a dedicated and accomplished educator, currently serving as the Treasurer General of the Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust. Her journey in education began at Cheziya Gokwe High School, where she completed her secondary education from 1999 to 2002.
Wadzanai holds a Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, as well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Development from Zimbabwe Open University. Her commitment to early childhood education is further demonstrated by her Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree in Early Childhood Development from Great Zimbabwe University.
In her role as Tresurer General, Wadzanai plays a key part in the governance and administration of the Alumni Trust, ensuring that the Trust’s activities and initiatives align with its mission to support alumni and the ongoing development of Cheziya High School. Her expertise in education and leadership make her an invaluable asset to the Trust and the broader educational community.
Yananisai Lorraine Moyo-Kondo is a distinguished development professional and the Vice President of Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust. She has extensive expertise in project management, social sciences, and geospatial analysis. Yananisai's strong academic background includes a Master of Development Studies, a Bachelor of Social Science, and multiple certifications in program monitoring and evaluation, sustainable microenterprise, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and peer counseling. Equipped with these qualifications, she is well-prepared to drive positive change and sustainable development.
Kudakwashe Paradza is a seasoned finance professional and the Secretary for IT and Networking at the Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust. He has a solid academic background, having completed his high school education at Cheziya High School. He holds a Business Studies degree from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in Accounting and Finance, and an MBA-Global from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. Kudakwashe currently works in the finance department of a large public entity, leveraging his expertise to drive impactful results.
Michllene Munyaradzi Butete is a Dental Surgeon currently working at the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, Harare Government Dental Center. He pursued his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Zimbabwe, starting in 2016. A former student of CHEZIYA High School from 2010 to 2015, Butete was the Headboy in his final year. He now serves as the Secretary for the CHEZIYA High Alumni, actively leading initiatives in sports and youth social issues.
Cryford Mhaka is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in telecommunications, ICT research, and monitoring and evaluation. He holds an MSc in Operations Research and Statistics and a BSc in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), along with a BSc in Monitoring and Evaluation from Lupane State University (LSU).
Cryford’s diverse background encompasses teaching, ICT research, and the evaluation of public procurement systems. This unique blend of academic and practical expertise enables him to drive innovation and efficiency in his field. His journey began at Cheziya Gokwe High School, where he laid the foundation for his significant contributions to ICT development and operational strategies in Zimbabwe.
Patson Chesa is a dedicated educator who has been an integral part of Cheziya High School since January 1997. He played a pivotal role in transforming the former 6:3 Infantry Battalion Barracks into a thriving educational institution. As the Head of the Humanities Department, he oversees the subjects of History, Heritage Studies, Geography, and Family and Religious Studies, and also teaches History at the Advanced Level. Additionally, Patson is a trained Advanced Level History examiner.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Patson serves as the Chairman of both the Cheziya Grounds and Landscaping Committee and the Cheziya School Trips Committee. He is actively involved in the Cheziya Piggery Project and serves as a Trustee of the Cheziya High Alumni.
Patson's exemplary teaching skills were recognized in 2023 when he was honored as the Best Ordinary and Advanced Level History Teacher at both the District and Provincial Levels. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Post-graduate Diploma in Education, and a Post-graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations.
Moreblessing Nyariri is a dedicated healthcare professional serving as the Alumni Secretary. She completed her A-level studies at Cheziya Gokwe High School from 2014 to 2015. In 2020, Moreblessing attained a Diploma in Registered Nursing, further solidifying her commitment to providing quality healthcare services. She is currently practicing as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in Mashonaland East Province. Moreblessing's dedication and expertise make her a valuable asset to both the alumni community and the healthcare sector.
Tighthard Chekenyere is the Alumni Secretary General, with a strong educational background and extensive experience. He holds an MSc in Leadership and Corporate Governance, a BComm in Business Management, a Diploma in Transport and Logistics, and an Internal Audit Certificate. His professional experience includes roles in administration, personnel management, logistics, team leadership, process management, and internal audit.
Mrs. Prisca Chesa is a dedicated and accomplished professional, currently serving as an Assistant Accountant at Cheziya Gokwe High School. She completed her O and A levels at Chaplin High in Gweru and went on to earn a Diploma in Computer Studies from Gweru Polytechnic in 1999. Mrs. Chesa is also a Trustee for the Cheziya Gokwe High School Alumni Trust, where she plays a vital role in supporting the school's mission and initiatives. Her extensive background in accounting and commitment to education make her an invaluable asset to the alumni community.
